What is interlibrary loan?
Answer
Palmer students, faculty and staff can request books or journal articles not owned by the David D. Palmer Health Sciences Library through interlibrary loan (ILL).
To request an interlibrary loan:
1. Use the library website to locate the needed item. If unavailable at Palmer College Library, change filter in the left column to "Libraries Worldwide."
2. Items available for interlibrary loan will have "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" button on the right of the item listing. Select this button to place a request.
3. Enter your information, including first and last name, email, and Palmer ID barcode.
4. Choose your Pickup Location from Main, Florida, or West campus libraries.
5. If your request is time sensitive, select the deadline for the request.
6. Submit the request. Requests may take from a few days up to several weeks to be filled. The loan period is set by the lending library, and renewals will depend on the policy of the lending library.
